Jaipur, October 18, 2025: The streets of Jaipur are currently cluttered with birthday posters for political leaders, which have been affixed to public signboards meant to guide pedestrians. These posters, placed by various supporters across the city, not only mar the aesthetic appeal of the area but also hinder the ability of passersby to navigate effectively.
Residents express concern that these signboards are crucial for maintaining order and traffic flow in the city, yet they have been misused for political self-promotion. The posters prominently display messages like 'Heartfelt Birthday Wishes' alongside images of the leaders and their supporters.
Local citizens have voiced their frustration, claiming that the municipal corporation is neglecting this issue. One resident, Ramesh Sharma, remarked, 'These signboards are meant for our convenience, but they have turned into tools for political advertising. The municipal corporation needs to take strict action on this matter.'
When approached for comments, municipal officials did not provide a concrete response. Citizens are urging the municipal corporation to promptly remove these illegal posters and implement stricter regulations to prevent such activities in the future.
This situation not only affects the beauty of Jaipur but also raises concerns about the city's traffic management and public amenities. Residents warn that if action is not taken soon, the problem could escalate further.
